Welcome to École des Roches.

International Boarding School — founded 1899

Since 1899, École des Roches has combined a tradition of progressive education with an international outlook and a unique boarding community — a place where students develop with confidence, curiosity and self-belief. Set on a 50-hectare campus in Normandy, just over an hour from Paris, our school brings together a genuinely international, bilingual community of students and families.

It is my belief that education must go beyond subject curricula, helping young people discover their unique promise and potential — academically, personally and as members of a global community. In this spirit, what happens beyond the classroom is as important as what happens within its walls, which is why experiential learning runs through everything we do here, placing each student at the centre of their individual learning journey.

Every student finds their own path: through our French stream, under contract with the French government; through the International Baccalaureate; or through our French as a Foreign Language programme, which welcomes international students for immersion stays from two weeks to a year. As a member of the Council of International Schools, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of international education, and our rich co-curricular life and boarding community give every student the chance to grow well beyond the classroom.

I warmly invite you to discover our school and its community.

Real stories. Real impact

The advantage of learning at École des Roches is that we have very mall class sizes which allows the teachers to help us a lot more and provide individualised help
