École des Roches uniform: a symbol of unity and tradition
For 125 years, the uniform at École des Roches has symbolised unity and mutual respect. Worn in class and on school outings, it reinforces the feeling of belonging to a community, linking students, teachers and house heads.

Boys’ uniform
The boys’ uniform consists of dark blue trousers, a white shirt and a dark blue suit jacket or jumper. The shirt must always be worn with the School’s official tie, even under a jumper or jacket.
This dress is compulsory for everyday use and for all the School’s special occasions. It must be worn with polished black leather dress shoes, reflecting the rigour and elegance of the school.
Girls’ uniform
The girls’ uniform consists of a dark blue skirt or trousers, a white shirt and a dark blue jacket or jumper. A waistcoat and scarf in the school colours complete the outfit.
As with boys, uniforms are compulsory every day and on special occasions, and must be worn with polished leather dress shoes.

Sports uniform
The École des Roches sports uniform is supplied by Le Coq Sportif. It includes jogging trousers, a T-shirt, a sports jacket and a hooded jacket.
Girls also have the option of wearing leggings of their choice instead of sports trousers.

The uniform throughout history
Ever since the École des Roches was founded, the uniform has been one of its most emblematic symbols. In the early days, it was worn mainly on outings, weekends and school holidays. It wasn’t until 1990, on the initiative of Mr Kaminsky, the school’s former owner, that it became compulsory in class.
Over the years, the uniform has evolved to keep up with the times, while remaining true to the elegance and values of the school. The latest update, carried out in 2022, bears witness to this modernisation.
Why is wearing a uniform essential at École des Roches?
The École des Roches uniform is much more than a dress code:
- Unity and equality: it brings together all pupils, whatever their origins, around a common identity.
- Respect and discipline: it embodies respect for the values of the school, for oneself and for others.
- Tradition and modernity: it reflects the history of the School while adapting to today’s needs.
This timeless symbol contributes to the excellence and reputation of École des Roches, while training students who are proud to belong.
