The Chefs de Maison
At École des Roches, the Heads of House are central figures. Acting as surrogate parents, they look after the well-being, safety and development of the pupils, creating a bond of trust with the pupils, their families and the school.
The key tasks of the Chefs de Maison
Welcoming students aged 11 to 18 from all over the world, the boarding school offers several flexible options to meet the needs of families:
Well-being and safety
The Heads of House ensure a safe environment, both physically and emotionally, which is conducive to the development of the pupils.
School supervision
They supervise study time and help students with their homework, organisation and academic progress.
Daily management
From pocket money to the organisation of activities and access to mobile phones, they ensure that the house runs smoothly and that the rules are respected.
Links with families
In constant contact with parents, they communicate on pupils’ academic progress, behaviour and well-being, responding quickly to any concerns they may have.
Support
Always ready to listen, they help students overcome personal problems, health concerns or other specific needs, within a framework of trust and respect.

Their role goes beyond day-to-day supervision: they support young people in their learning, their personal development and their transition to adulthood.
