We offer a holistic education which, in line with the IB’s mission, aims to develop inquisitive, knowledgeable and caring young people.
Becoming an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in 2016, it has since strengthened its Diploma Programme (DP), offering a comprehensive educational experience that fosters reflection, innovative learning and deep intercultural awareness.

Personalised follow-up
Personalised support combines daily homework (2h15 to 3h) and support in maths and French, to reinforce learning according to the needs of each student.
Educational programme
In addition to the six subjects chosen, each IBDP student must take three core components, specifically designed to develop critical thinking, research and writing skills, as well as an understanding of the world as it exists today.
The brief
A 4,000-word research paper based on a personal problem, which prepares students for the type of projects undertaken at university.
The theory of knowledge
Encourages students to ask themselves: “How do we know what we know?”. This course enables students to develop their critical thinking skills.
CAS
In CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service), students take part in a wide variety of extra-curricular, community service and sporting activities.

Typical day
The iB prepares students for university life by developing their talents and skills. Supervised by Heads of House, who act as ‘surrogate parents’, they benefit from a caring and secure environment. These adults look after their well-being, their academic success and their day-to-day needs, in liaison with their parents and the school services.

School holidays
École des Roches follows the Zone B school calendar, with clearly defined holiday periods to allow students to rest while balancing their academic year.

Organisation of departures
Departures and returns during the holidays are organised to ensure that everything runs smoothly for both French and international students.
France :
Friday after school – Sunday after school from 6 p.m.
International :
Friday: Departure by plane from Roissy Charles de Gaulle, flight between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The return Sunday: return by plane, arriving at Roissy Charles de Gaulle, flight between 12.30 and 4.30 p.m.

Registration
The École des Roches application process is structured to ensure that all applications are fully assessed. It consists of three main stages:
File analysis
Families must provide recent school reports, a letter of motivation and pay an application fee of €150.
Individual interviews
Conducted online or on site, this interview provides a better understanding of the student’s plans and an opportunity to discuss them with the family.
Final decision
Once the application has been studied and the interview completed, the school informs the families of its decision via the Open Apply platform.
